Plain-English summary: OOKTAM is a B2B digital services studio. We collect only the information needed to answer enquiries, scope work, secure the website and operate the service. We do not sell personal information, and optional advertising or behavioural tracking is disabled by default.
1. Who this notice covers
This notice applies to visitors to the OOKTAM website and people who contact OOKTAM about websites, automation, AI assistants, portals or related services. OOKTAM currently operates from India. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@ooktam.com.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may collect your name, work email, business or brand name, country, website URL, the services you are interested in, and the business problem you describe. Cloudflare may also process technical request data needed to deliver and secure the website, such as IP address, request headers and security signals.
Do not send sensitive documents through the public enquiry form. Do not submit passwords, payment-card data, government identity documents, medical records, bank statements, tax records or other highly sensitive information unless OOKTAM has separately agreed a secure transfer method.
3. Why we use information
- to respond to a project enquiry and prepare a scope or proposal;
- to provide requested services and manage a client relationship;
- to prevent abuse, fraud and automated form submissions;
- to maintain website security, availability and diagnostics;
- to comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes; and
- to improve the website using optional analytics only where those tools are enabled and permitted.
4. Legal bases and regional rules
The legal basis depends on where you are and what we are doing. For EU/EEA or UK users, processing may rely on steps requested before entering a contract, performance of a contract, legitimate interests such as securing and operating a B2B website, consent where required, or legal obligations. In India, processing is handled under the Digital Personal Data Protection framework and other applicable law. Other regions may provide comparable rights or impose additional requirements.
EU / EEA and United Kingdom
Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, you may have rights to access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, portability and withdrawal of consent, subject to legal limits. Non-essential storage or access technologies are not enabled before the required consent. International transfers are assessed against the transfer mechanism made available by the relevant service provider and applicable law.
India
Where India's Digital Personal Data Protection framework applies, OOKTAM aims to provide clear notice, use personal data for specified purposes, implement reasonable safeguards, support applicable Data Principal rights and provide an accessible contact for questions about processing.
California and other US states
OOKTAM does not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioural advertising by default. If a US state privacy law applies to OOKTAM in the future, this notice and the website's privacy controls will be updated to support the rights and notices required for that jurisdiction. Global Privacy Control signals are treated as a request to keep marketing/tracking disabled.
Canada
Marketing email is separated from project-response email. Where Canadian anti-spam rules apply, promotional messages require an appropriate consent basis, sender identification and an unsubscribe method. Responding to an enquiry is handled separately from adding someone to a marketing list.
Australia
Where the Australian Privacy Act and Australian Privacy Principles apply, OOKTAM aims to manage personal information transparently, collect only what is reasonably necessary, protect it, and provide a way to request access or correction. Promotional messaging is subject to applicable consent and unsubscribe requirements.
UAE
Where the UAE Personal Data Protection Law applies, OOKTAM considers consent or another permitted basis, security, confidentiality, data-subject rights and cross-border transfer requirements before processing personal data for a project.
5. Regional pricing
The website may use Cloudflare's coarse country code to choose a starting currency and price display. OOKTAM does not require precise geolocation for this feature. Your manually selected pricing region may be stored in browser localStorage so the site can remember the preference.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
OOKTAM currently keeps optional analytics and advertising technologies off by default. Necessary security technologies and local browser storage may be used for security, consent choices and interface preferences. See the Cookie & Storage Notice for the current inventory.
7. Service providers and international processing
OOKTAM may use service providers for website delivery, security and business communication. Current or planned providers are listed on the Subprocessors page. Some providers operate globally, so information may be processed outside your country. For regulated or sensitive client work, hosting location and cross-border access are reviewed during project scoping rather than assumed from this public website.
8. Retention
Unconverted project enquiries are normally retained for up to 12 months, unless a shorter period is appropriate or a longer period is required for legal, security or dispute-resolution reasons. Client, accounting and contractual records may be retained for the period required by applicable law or the signed client agreement. Data no longer needed should be deleted or de-identified where appropriate.
9. Security
OOKTAM uses measures appropriate to this website's risk profile, including HTTPS, restrictive security headers, bot protection for forms when enabled, access controls and minimal collection. No website is perfectly secure. See Security at OOKTAM for the operating approach and vulnerability-reporting channel.
10. Children
OOKTAM is a B2B service and is not designed for children. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children through the project-enquiry workflow. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so it can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate. A client project that is directed to, or likely to be used by, children requires a separate child-privacy review before launch.
11. Marketing
Submitting a project enquiry does not automatically subscribe you to promotional email. If OOKTAM later operates a newsletter or marketing list, consent, identification, unsubscribe and record-keeping requirements will be configured for the target regions before that feature is enabled.
12. Your requests
To ask what personal information OOKTAM holds about you, request correction or deletion, withdraw a consent, object to a use, or raise a privacy concern, email hello@ooktam.com with the subject “Privacy request”. We may need enough information to verify the request before disclosing or deleting data.
13. Changes
This notice will be updated when OOKTAM changes its data practices, adds analytics or advertising tools, changes core service providers, or begins operating through a different legal entity.
